The New World

The ancient Maya were right. Not about the end of the world, but about the dawn of a new way of life. In the year 1, electricity is a thing of the past and anarchy reigns. Struggling to survive and build a safe future, the fate of civilisation is left in the hands of a remaining few.

Ten writers once again come together to write ten chapters for one story, with each writer building on the work of the last to move the story forward. With minimal collaboration between the writers, the plot unfolds organically as each new chapter brings a new style or viewpoint but keeps the narrative intact.

The story has been presented, chapter by chapter, in The Holland Times magazine as a serial, but now, in collaboration with The American Book Center, readers are being offered the chance to get the entire story at once.

Through the magic of the revolutionary Espresso Book Machine, The Holland Times’ second flash fiction novel, The New World is available at The American Book Center in the Netherlands.
